Crispy Whole Wheat Won Ton with Pan Seared Flank Steak Tower
Fortune Whole Wheat Won Ton Wrappers - CHEF INSPIRED - 1 serving


Ingredients
4 each | Fortune Whole Wheat Won Ton, fried crispy |
3 oz. | Pan Seared Flank Steak, sliced on bias |
4 oz. | Chimichurri Sauce |
1 each | Heirloom Yellow Zebra Tomato, cored, sliced thick |
5 each | Asparagus, blanched, sautee'd, split lenthwise |
1/2 cup | Jalapeno Chow Chow Relish, garnish |
1/4 tsp. | Black Sesame Seeds, garnish |
CHIMICHURRI SAUCE | |
1 cup | Italian Parsley and/or Cilantro, firmly packed |
1/4 cup | Oregano, fresh (optional) |
2 each | Garlic Cloves, peeled |
1 Tbsp. | Red Onion, minced |
3 Tbsp. | Extra Virgin Olive Oil |
2 Tbsp. | Lime Juice, fresh squeezed |
1/4 tsp. | Sea Salt, to taste |
JALAPENO CHOW CHOW RELISH | |
1/4 cup | Jalapeno, green, julienned, discard seeds |
1/4 cup | Red Onions, julienned |
1/4 cup | Rice Wine Vinegar, seasoned |
1/4 cup | Water |
1 Tbsp. | Sugar, granulated |
1/4 tsp. | Sea Salt |
Instructions
1) | Dollop 1 Tbsp of chimichurri sauce onto appetizer plate and spread around. |
2) | Have all your mixtures prepped in separate bowls nearby. |
3) | Then start building the Tower by placing one crispy wonton skin onto sauce. |
4) | Layer asparagus and heirloom yellow zebra tomato slices onto crispy wonton. |
5) | Finish with a drizzle of chimichurri sauce and Jalapeno Chow Chow Relish. |
6) | Complete each layer by repeating steps 2 through 5. |
7) | Optional: For an Indonesian flavor profile marinate raw flank meat with mushroom soy sauce, fermented black beans and orange oil. |
8) | CHIMICHURRI SAUCE |
9) | Add all ingredients to small bowl and mixed together. |
10) | Let mixture meld for 30 minute at room temperature. |
11) | JALAPENO CHOW CHOW |
12) | Add all ingredients to small sauce pan and bring to a boil. |
13) | Remove from stove the moment it boils and let steep for 15 minutes at room temperature. |
14) | Strain remaining liquid for immediate use as garnish. |
